Overlanding Course

Course Description

This course is specifically designed and intended for the couple who intent taking their 4×4 vehicle on an extended overlanding trip. The course is set out to prepare them as best possible for the conditions and destinations intended to visit.

Focus is placed on vehicle preparation, basic driver maintenance tasks, preventative maintenance, and of course intense driving practices. Teamwork is instilled to plan and execute difficult tasks.
This is a TWO DAY course covering:

• Understanding your 4×4 vehicle capabilities, limitations, 4WD systems and features.
• Tyres – selection, pressure, care and repairs.
• Obstacle identification, assessment, planning and preparation.
• Techniques to safely and effectively negotiate a variety of obstacles and terrain types.
• Gravel road driving.
• Recovery equipment & techniques – safe usage and techniques associated with recoveries.

All of the above is specifically focussed on the vehicle to be used, thus making it flexible ito contents but also very specific on the requirements/needs of the client.
